Like The Show? Pay Us With A Survey!

If we could ask for 10 minutes of your time to take our Tuesday Night Tech (TNT) Show Listener Survey, it would really help us craft the show for the better each and every week. It's a simple survey that will only take about ten to 15 minutes on average. Please help us by taking the survey here. Advertising On The Tuesday Night Tech Show

As the Tuesday Night Tech storms onto our 50th episode, we remind you that advertising on our show is a great way to reach a great bunch of technically oriented people that tune in religiously every week. Every week, we average anywhere from 50 to 100 live video viewers (which grows weekly) and many more podcast listeners that can't make it to our live video show. Some of the ways you can advertise on our show can be found at our advertising link found here. The Tuesday Night Tech Show can also offer internal stats on our show, including various listener and viewer surveys that show most of our demographics. Because the TNT show is not only a live video show each week, we can also give you advertising options on the recorded portion of the show which appears as a podcast each week featured on iTunes and our website.

The Tuesday Night Tech Show is gaining in popularity and is becoming a weekly mainstay on the Ustream.tv network. Please contact us at this address if you'd like more information on our advertising options.

The Tuesday Night Tech Show Goes To The Moon

In true futuristic fashion, the TNT show has added their name to the database of names that are to orbit the moon sometime in 2009. Want to add your name to the list? You can do so at the official NASA site here.
"Everyone who sends their name to the moon, like I'm doing, becomes part of the next wave of lunar explorers," said Cathy Peddie, deputy project manager for LRO at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md. "The LRO mission is the first step in NASA's plans to return humans to the moon by 2020, and your name can reach there first. How cool is that?"

The Tuesday Night Tech Show FAQ

TNT covers some of the frequently asked questions (FAQ) we get here each and every week.

Q.) What is the Tuesday Night Tech Show?
A.) The Tuesday Night Tech Show (TNT) is a weekly live comedy show about technology, beer and gadgets that also doubles as a podcast for the rest of the week. The hosts Dr. Soos and Mr. X talk about the week's tech events, usually making fun of these events and getting instant feedback from the live Tuesday Night Tech Live Lounge chatroom. Part of the show is recorded as a podcast, which can be heard via the iTunes podcast store or our website.

Q.) Can I take survey to help you make the show better?
A.) Yes, visit the official listener survey here which is a huge help in making the show better!

Q.) When is the Tuesday Night Tech Show produced? Weekly, Daily, etc.?
A.) The show is broadcast live every Tuesday night on the fabulous Ustream.tv network (which you can watch on Ustream here or on our own video page here) at 9PM (Eastern Time). We do a preshow from around 9PM to 10PM, then we record the Podcast version of the show from 10PM to 11PM and then we do a post show from 11PM until usually about 1AM.

Q.) How can I listen to the show if I missed the live version?
A.) You can subscribe to our podcast feed on iTunes, or, subscribe to our RSS feed here. Each week your software will automatically search for our new shows and deliver them to you when they are available. Our website also has all the episodes in a mini-player.

Q.) Where is the Tuesday Night Tech Show hosted?
A.) We are both coming to you from 2 small towns in upstate New York. Even better, watch a video Steve Carell (of NBC's "The Office") did of the actual town where our very own Dr. Soos lives. Watch it here.

Q.) Can I advertise on the Tuesday Night Tech Show?
A.) Absolutely! Get in now while the gettin's good! Contact us at advertising@tuesdaynighttech.com. We can talk about your products or services, advertise them on our website or even on Dr. Soos' forehead during the show.

Q.) Where can I get a groovy TNT T-shirt or official TNT thong?
A.) At our TNT merchandise store, of course! Find it here.

Q.) Does the podcast version of TNT have the preshow and postshow from your live shows?
A.) No, the podcast is only the portion of the show from 10PM to 11PM. You will have to either tune in live or go to our Ustream page to see our video archives.

Q.) Why is the video quality of your video show on Ustream so low?
A.) We turn down the outgoing video quality so more bandwidth is available for us, and, it reduces the out-of-sync issues at times for the viewers.

Q.) How can I contact the Tuesday Night Tech Show?
A.) You can either leave us an e-mail here or contact us on Skype when we are recording the preshow via our Skype name, "tuesdaynighttech." We are also on Facebook, which you can contact us (and join) at our TNT group here. The best way to contact us is during the live show, where you can join our live chatroom right on Ustream.tv, or, the live video page, located here.

Q.) Can my children listen to the show?
A.) If you allow your children to listen to adult content, including adult language & situations and glorification of alcohol, then by all means they can listen! Otherwise, the show is designed for adults only.

Q.) Do I have to be drunk to listen to the show?
A.) Since the show is attempting to be the best damn party on the internet each Tuesday, it only helps if you bring a cocktail when you listen! We drink anything from beer to wine to hard liquor on each and every show.

Q.) I heard you talking about a funny thing on the show and I want to see it on the internet, where do I find it?

A.) All of the content we talk about is always located at our shownotes page, which can be found here.

Q.) Hey, you guys sound familiar, where have I heard you before?
A.) We were the hosts of the infamous "Macinchat Radio Show," broadcast over the internet in the late 90's, well before there was such a term as "podcasting." You can still hear most of those older shows in their entirety here. The show ran about 20 episodes and was one of the only internet radio shows that focused on the Macintosh in those days. Did we invent Podcasting? Only you can decide...

Q.) I have a topic or a question I would love to have you guys talk about.
A.) See the "contact us" section above. Please be advised that this is a comedy show, so, there's a good chance that we may either make fun of your topic or make fun of you for submitting the topic, so, don't take it personally. We personally review all submissions, of course.

Q.) Can I watch the live show at another time as a video podcast?
A.) Sort of. You can watch the video archives anytime at our Ustream.tv sites. Find Mark's video here or Bill's video here. These are stored on the Ustream.tv site, so, you cannot take them with you on your iPod-type device.

Q.) Can I access the uStream live chat with an IRC client?
A.) Yes, these are the settings to connect over IRC:

This link should allow your IRC client to open the chatroom.

IRC Server Name: chat1.ustream.tv
Username: Your Ustream.tv username
Password: Your Ustream.tv password
Channel Name: tuesday-night-tech

Q.) How is the show recorded?
A.) The 2 hosts of TNT are not in the same room; Dr. Soos actually calls into Mr. X's computer with Skype telephony software and Mr. X records the audio from his end. That audio then goes out as a podcast when the show is over for the night.

Q.) Were you guys really on DiggNation?
A.) OK, that's it--FAQ over. (storms off of the blog...)

We're Taking Over Facebook!

Come join us on Facebook in our special Tuesday Night Tech our group over there. I have to say, I didn't get the whole Facebook craze until I really gave it some time and played around with it and all the extra embedded applications. I like the layout (very clean and tidy) and able to have fun stuff added (like Firefox's add-on concept). I highly recommend it for some extra time-killing, brain-sapping fun when you have nothing better to do. If you want to join our group, find us on Facebook by adding us as friends (find Bill Soucy or Mark H. Delfs and we will add you as friends if you are A.) reasonably normal B.) like our dumb show C.) were born sometime in the 70's and D.) like to drink your face off. If those conditions are met, please come over and harass us anytime you wish. We want to build an entire TNT army on FB! Join our TNT group at this address.

How Can YOU Submit Stories to the Tuesday Night Tech Show?

If you have a burning desire to submit some stories to our weekly show (Broadcast on Ustream.tv every Tuesday night at 9PM EST), you can do it pretty easily! The coolest way is to use Google Reader and become a Google friend by adding 'mdelfs' or 'drsoos' or both (use the "manage friends" feature of Google Reader). This will allow us to subscribe to your submitted stories every time you mark something cool as "shared." You can read much more about adding friends in Google at this page. Of course, we cannot take every submission, but, if you have something technical (or funny) that is burning a hole in your Google Reader, please send it along!

A General 'Thank You' To Every Tuesday Night Tech Fan!

March and April have been a whirlwind for us here at the Tuesday Night Tech Show and we just wanted to slow down for a second take a few moments to thank each and every one of you out there for helping us to take our show to a new level each and every week. We started this show not as a video show, but as an audio show. We got the idea to try video as a new medium and that was the best decision we have ever made regarding this show--today, we get anywhere from 100 to 150 live viewers for up to 5 hours a show each and every week which still amazes us both. As we close in on our 50th show, we want you all to know that all of you are 90% of our show every Tuesday and we could NOT do it without you. We'd also like to personally thank JD, Our fellow Ustreamer Natasha (From Nat.tv) and the crew over at Gotwebmojo.com for giving us the chance to co-host the huge Garage Party with them. It was great fun from our end and we would love to work with GWM again to do more giveaways and bring more attention to the great service known as Gotwebmojo.com.

We'd also like to thank Brad and the crew at Ustream.tv for going out of their way time and time again to make us feel welcome on their amazing network, even if our brand of humor may be scraping the bottom of the barrel at times! We love Ustream.tv and will never leave it for any other streaming network!

We want to also thank the core group of TNT fans that show up here on Ustream every week (often hours before the show even starts!) including Fireman17 who keeps the TNT lounge in order, iEllie for being iEllie, the call-in kids who bombard our Skype lines with useless fun (JimmyMacCentral, Cyberfox, Terminator Paul, etc.), Techiegal for her weird video requests, TybeeGuy for being here with bells on every week, Our co-workers who give us moral (or moron) support including Srasm, the amazing contestants in our stupid post-show games (Rachel, WirelessPacket, Enemabandit etc.), the sheer insanity of Four1111's, the makeup session with Sroxah & Whiskeypark, the antics of UTfan, and our longest fan in the history of TNT and our previous Macinchat show, George Masters himself. Lastly, I have to thank my wife and sometimes TNT personality, Just Julie for putting up with this nonsense every Tuesday and encouraging us to put on our dumb show every week without fail. Of course, I cannot mention each and every one of you all, but we try to call you out on each podcast episode for posterity.

We've noticed too many other shows on Ustream that are so large that there is NO way they can interact with the chatroom (or want to, we guess)--TNT has vowed that since YOU are all part of our show, we will never get to that point--without you guys, we simply have no show. Remember, as long as you don't abuse it, you are more than welcome to come to our chatroom and paste your links, social media addresses, rants, etc. We try to take each and every call we get on Skype (which is sometimes my favorite part of the show) and if we miss you, I promise we will get you in next time.

Lastly, I want to personally thank Dr. Soos for staying on board through too many extremely cold nights in his sub-freezing garage with only an iSight camera and a few manikin heads to get him through each show. When concocting this show I knew in the back of my head that this version of our show would eclipse our first venture into entertainment, The Macinchat Radio Show, and this version has exceeded every expectation I could have ever had.

So, in closing, Dr. Soos and myself personally thank each and everyone of you out there once again for putting up with our lunacy each week and we hope you help us charge full-speed to our glorious 50th episode happening in about 7 weeks from now. If you like our show and you have a good time here every week, please tell a friend--Our mission going into the summer of 2008 is to gain more viewers & Podcast listeners and make you want to join our TNT universe every Tuesday night at 9PM, only on Ustream.tv.

Thanks again, everyone!
